ExoSort

We have a unique technology which can efficiently sort cellular components from bodily fluids which carry important information for the detection of illnesses such as cancer.

What's our goal?

Exosomes are abundant extracellular vesicles, rich in biological information and shed by all types of cells, making them an ideal target for clinical diagnostics of e.g. cancer. Their reliable purification however, which would enable large scale research and new breakthrough diagnostic opportunities, is still not possible. Time-consuming, labor intensive and highly tailored purification protocols for different samples are still the reality. This project’s goal is to offer a microfluidic chip capable of purifying exosomes and other vesicles, embedded into a user – friendly casing. By speeding up the purification process for researchers, we enable them to focus on developing new diagnostic tools to help patients, rather than wasting time on obtaining sufficient biological material.
